Proof that Jesus is Lord and the Savior of Mankind

How do you prove that Jesus is Lord and the savior of mankind? For believers- it is done by faith. But how can it be proved? Proved to the nonbeliever... proved beyond any shadow of doubt.

A difficult task.. not so....

In life there is desire, reason, and faith.....and it can be proved through all three.

Within man there is desire. Desire starts as a child. There is the desire for food, for want, to be held, desire then grows for friendship, for love and sometimes for vices. These desires are real. However- within man there is also the desire to find God. This desire is also real, but you must understand that there is a hierarchy of desire. Desire at its base is for oneself- the desire for God is at its greatest.

I offer this as proof there is a God.

"The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever." 1 John 2:17

The ministry of Jesus lasted for only three years. He spread his message of love, healed the sick, served the poor and taught of mercy and grace. However- after only three years, a sinless life and at the height of his ministry he willingly submitted to death on the cross - the end of his physical life.

Let me ask you... how many of you reading this would flee and hide if you knew that you were going to be mocked, beaten, scourged and then nailed to a cross to die a slow death? Think of some of the greatest leaders this world has ever known - as well as the leaders in America today (all sinful). Do you think any would give up their lives willingly to a slow torturous death after only three years on a national or world stage for their beliefs? And then as they were left to die- offer forgiveness to those that led them to their death....Jesus said,

"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And they divided up his clothes by casting lots. Luke 23:34

I offer this as reason that Jesus is the savior.

We know that man has a desire to find God. We know Jesus walked the earth and through his life it can be reasoned he is the savior. However- there is no proof only testimony that Jesus rose from the grave on the third day. So it is here where you must have faith. Faith follows desire and reason. The Bible is a book that says- Christ will arrive, Christ has arrived and Christ will return.

You are born with desire, reason develops and then you find faith.

Desire, reason and faith are at constant conflict for most....

It is the natural against the spiritual. However- when harmony exists between desire, reason and faith (the natural and the spiritual)- that is where you will find the secret to life, you will live according to the Bible and you will find salvation.

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1

Lastly... I offer this...

I ask would YOU willingly give up your life to an excruciating death after only three years of a ministry when you knew that there were so many people that needed to be reached and helped by your message?

The answer is that Jesus knew... he knew that he was the savior of mankind and the son of God.

He knew that his messages would last even after his death - . to the end of time....
